FROM THE CEO
Dear Christmas on The Pecos ticket holders,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of Christmas on the Pecos holiday boat tours for the 2020 season. I was hopeful that we would be able to hold this treasured event, but in order to comply with the Governor’s health order that is not possible. This year has been unprecedented and full of challenges and now we face another shut down right at the beginning of the holiday season. It is easy to get lost in the things that we are unable to do during these cherished times. So, I would like to issue a challenge to all of our Christmas on the Pecos riders of this year and the next. Don’t lose hope, get in the car with your loved ones and go look at Christmas lights. Watch the twinkle in your children’s eyes as they dream of what this season can bring. Remember what your childhood was like when you saw those flashing lights. Make this holiday season memorable for all the things we still can do.
We will be issuing refunds as fast as possible for all of those who have already purchased tickets.
From myself and all of us at the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. HAPPY THANKSGIVING, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. May blessings be upon you all.
CARLSBAD CARRIES ON CHRISTMAS !
PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO CURRENT RESTRICTIONS THIS EVENT IS SUBJECT WITHOUT NOTICE TO CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING INCLUDING FURTHER REDUCED TOUR CAPACITY. WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE AND ASK THAT YOU PLEASE READ OUR NEW COVID SAFE POLICES FOR THIS YEAR'S EVENT.
A Note from the Tourism Director…
We are so excited and proud to be hosting this special tradition for the 29th year despite all the setbacks and obstacles created by the pandemic. Many people have worked countless hours to ensure our Number 1 priority, the health and safety of your family. These magical boat tours are only possible to depart because the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce has developed and implemented strict protocol and covid safe practices. This cherished community tradition also continues on due to the gracious homeowners along the Pecos River who continue to decorate their immaculate awing estates each year. Finally, we could not host this year’s event without Sendero Midstream who not only stepped up to fill the newly vacant title sponsor spot but also for providing so many wonderful volunteers. We thank you in advance for your compliance, cooperation and support for Christmas on the Pecos and wish everyone a joyous Holiday Season!
